The Malcolm Richards Website

Malcolm Richards was the longest serving editor in the UK when he retired in 2003 after 27 years at the helm of the Richmond and Twickenham Times series of newspapers, which were established by tv presenter David Dimbleby’s great grandfather in 1876.

There were ten titles in the stable and the paid for papers covered four boroughs - Richmond Upon Thames, Hounslow, Kingston and Wandsworth and were highly respected with an influential AB readership. The papers had only six editors in their entire 130 years history

He was a regular broadcaster and after dinner speaker and passionate conservationist and environmentalist.

The family business of Dimbleby Newspapers was taken over by the American conglomerate Newsquest in 2000 and he served three years with them.

Malcolm continues to write a popular weekly column for the newspapers covering all aspects of life in the boroughs - politics, the environment, entertainment - and of the many celebrities who live there.

He now splits his time between his home in Richmond Surrey and his villa in Thailand.
